HYDERABAD: The results for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X have been out only for a day and already students are getting ready to burn the midnight oil to gain entry into the elite portals of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or crack the Union Public Service Commission’s civil service examination. With the city students doing well in the Class X examination, the results of which were declared on Tuesday in the Chennai and Delhi regions, students are already making a beeline for coaching centres. A1 grade holder Dronadula Mohan Teja from Jubilee Hills Public School told Express that he has joined IIT bridge course in a private educational institute hoping to a secure top rank in the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination. His aim is to gain entry in the Robotics stream and is confident of making it, given the encouragement of his parents and his love for Mathematics and Science. “It is my childhood dream to design a Robot which is why I want to pursue Robotics in IIT. A number of people have invented robots, but I will make one that will be more helpful to human beings,” said a jubilant 15-year-old Mohan Teja. P Anusha Reddy, another A1 grade holder from the same school, is determined to be among the toppers in the UPSC’s Civil Service examination. Her schoolmate P Kavya hopes to become a doctor and is taking long-term coaching for the medical entrance. She attributed her success in the CBSE exam to supportive teachers and parents and regular study habits. The students of the school did well in the examination for the second consecutive year, securing 100 per cent first class as per the new CBSE Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) Grades.
