Telecom operators have been asked to optimise networks and analyse reasons for call drops.
New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government on Wednesday sent a stern order to telecom companies over call drops.
The government has sought the report by July 31 on call drops. Telecom operators have been asked to optimise networks and analyse reasons for call drops.
Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The issue of call drops is responsibility of telecom operators. The government doesn't want to play one-upmanship with operators. The TRAI has been asked to look at disincentives for non-compliance."
