CEO cautions on paid articles

KADAPA: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal on Tuesday stated that the byelections to 18 Assembly seats, which fell vacant recently, will be held before August this year. Pointing out to the rule that elections should be held within six months of a seat felling vacant, he said the Election Commission of India is likely to issue the relevant notification any time soon.Speaking to reporters here, Bhanwar Lal urged district officials to be prepared for smooth conduct of the byelections to Rayachoti, Rajampet and Railway Kodur Assembly constituencies in Kadapa district. He held a meeting with the district officials and representatives of recognised political parties.
