The verification of certificates for Eamcet qualified candidates commenced here on Thursday.
P Jayaprakash Rao, chairman of the APSCHE, said that the verification process is being held in 54 select centres across the state. Students can get their certificates verified at any nearby centre. “We will conduct the certificate verification till August 3 and web counselling for admissions into various courses in engineering and pharmacy will be held between July 31 to August 9. Candidates can also attend any nearby selection centre for web counselling,’’ he said. He said that at least 3.10 lakh seats were available in as many as 700 private and government colleges in engineering and pharmacy courses in the state. Of the 3.10 lakh, 2.17 lakh seats are available under convener quota in both the streams. The students can opt for colleges and courses online between July 31 and August 9. The counselling for Eamcet and ICET would be completed by August second week. Classes would begin by Septemberend.
In engineering, over 40 colleges would conduct separate counselling for Christian minorities through single window system.
Meanwhile, technical education officials said that elaborate arrangements were being made for web counselling.
