Chargesheet in Apple-A-Day scam submitted

KOCHI: The Kochi police submitted the chargesheet in the Apple-A-Day scam case before the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate on Wednesday. The fraud case was the one in which several people were duped to invest in real estate projects. Investigating officer of the case CI Sahir S M  said that the chargesheet was filed against three accused in the case, company owners Saju Kadavilan and Rajeev Cheruvara, and company manager R Ramandharan who was granted bail last month.The case was registered for the New Kochi project, which was part of the Apple A Day real estate project in Cherthala. The company had cheated 186 people by taking money in advance for the project.  The accused were charged with IPC 406 for criminal breach of trust and with IPC 420 for cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.The police have registered 182 cases against Saju and Rajeev for duping people who had invested money in several real estate projects of Apple A Day Properties.
