Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh uses chopper meant for anti-Naxal operations to ferry around

Raipur: Being completely aware of the rules, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh was reportedly using a chopper, meant to be used for policing action, for ferrying around to different places.

The chopper was hired to be used for Anti-Naxal operations in Chattisgarh where left wing extremism is prevalent.

Aviation regulator Director general of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stepped in saying the CM was supposed to use only a twin engine helicopter for safety purposes and not a single engine helicopter, which in this case was the chopper meant for anti-naxal operations.

"The Chief Minister is supposed to use only twin engine choppers for safety" said the aviation regulator.
