BANGALORE: The city police have nabbed three persons who allegedly murdered an advocate hailing from Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu, on Monday. The deceased, Appuswamy alias Sriranga Goundar (59) hailed from Chittipuram.On February 11, the accused invited Appuswamy to Mysore under the guise of seeking his help to fight some cases. On the same day, they stragulated him to death. Later, they threw the body in a storm water channel near Mandya, the preliminary investigation revealed.The accused have been identified as Mohammad Junaid alias Abdul Jabbar, 25, a resident of Chamrajnagar, Yashwanth alias Shankar, 22, a resident of Mandya and Girish alias Ramu, 24 of Nagamangala Taluk.Based on the information given by the relatives of Appuswamy that the accussed were using his credit card at hotels, petrol bunks and in and around Bangalore, a special police team headed by Dr Ramesh, DCP, Bangalore Central and others was set up to arrest the culprits.The police have seized the car from the accused along with other valuables. The three accused have been handed over to Kunnattur Police Station for inquiry. In the meantime, further investigations about the accused are on, the police sources said.
