BANGALORE: Refusing to yield to the vociferous demand of the Opposition members seeking immediate suspension of Bhadravati tahsildar, who allegedly ill-treated local Congress legislator B K Sangamesh, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda informed the Assembly that he would act only after verification of facts.Responding to the agitating Congress members who were demanding the immediate suspension of the tahsildar and the police inspector in Bhadravati for allegedly neglecting and harassing Sangamesh, the CM said he would issue a statement in the House by Wednesday evening after receiving a report from the Regional Commissioner.Stating that the government expected the officials to respect the elected representatives, he appealed to the Congress members to wait for a report from the RC on the complaint lodged by the Bhadravati MLA.The Opposition members led by Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar, however, urged the CM to order the suspension of the concerned officials for disrespecting the MLA. They alleged that the tahsildar and police inspector lodged a false complaint against the MLA.
