Jalandhar: Reacting to the rejection by a court of a petition by one of his followers for Z-plus security for him, yoga Guru Ramdev said he would not apply for any security cover, as it was for the government to decide whether he needed any security.
Ramdev, who had faced allegations from communist leader Brinda Karat, also said the communists were in the process of being wiped out from the world and in India also they cannot survive for long.
The court had rejected the security for him on the ground that Ramdev should himself apply for the same if he needed that.
"It is not the matter to be decided by the court whether I need security or not but it is up to the government to decide whether it considers appropriate to provide me security," said Ramdev, who was in Jalandhar for week-long yoga camp.
"As far as I am concerned, I will not apply for any security cover for myself," he said.
Asked about any particular security threat to him, Ramdev evaded a direct reply and said,"all know who suffer due to my campaign against the multi-national company and how much loss they have to suffer due to my campaign and yoga camps."
On a query about his wish to conduct yoga camp in the neighbouring country of Pakistan, Ramdev said, "I will start my worldwide tour from London and till now schedule for Pakistan has not been finalised".
Although there are thousands of my followers in Pakistan but before conducting yoga camp in the country, lot of formalities at government level to be completed and efforts in this regard are already on, he added.
