Council tells youth not to end lives

HYDERABAD: Andhr a Pradesh Legislative Council on Monday adopted unanimously a resolution urging youth and students in Telangana not to commit suicides.The Council also urged the state and Central governments take a decision on Telangana statehood at the earliest.MLC K Dileep Kumar moved the resolution, which was supported by MLCs AR Amos, K Yadava Reddy, Bhanuprakash, B Venkateshwar Rao and others.Several members said extreme steps like suicide will not bring Telangana state.The House conveyed its condolences to the family of Bhojya Naik who committed suicide on Saturday.Meanwhile, chief minster N Kiran Kumar Reddy said the government was ready to make statement on the issue in the Assembly on Tuesday.TRS and BJP MLAs, independent MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy, and TDP rebel MLAs K Harishwar Reddy and S Madhu Sudhana Chary met the chief minister and submitted a representation urging him to introduce the Telangana resolution in the Assembly
