Dargah panel wants to sue Katrina

Ajmer: A panel constituted by the administration of the Ajmer Sharif dargah to investigate the shooting of a Bollywood film at the premises without prior permission, will soon lodge police cases against the film's director and actors.

The panel will also probe those who helped actor Katrina Kaif perform ziyarat at the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti during the shooting of the film Namaste London on October 2.

Katrina was wearing a short dress during the ritual, which violated the dargah dress code as women are required to cover their head, hands and legs during the ceremony.

Dargah Committee Chairman Pirzada Shibali Kasim set up the panel under the leadership of Naib Sadr Abdul Bari, which will also include Nazim Abdul Aalim and committee member Abid Ali Pehelwan.

The panel has started probing the matter and will soon lodge cases against film Director Vipul Shah, actors Katrina Kaif, Rishi Kapoor and the film crew.

Meanwhile, the dargah Nazim Abdul Aalim has sent the report of the whole episode to the Centre, stating that permission was not provided for the film's shooting but a few khadims and influential people manipulated the rules to permit the shooting.

Although the dargah committee members tried to stop the shooting they were not successful as the film crew were adamant about finishing their scenes.
