New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs on Monday said Defence Minister AK Antony will visit China soon for bilateral talks. This comes on a day when Chinese Premier Li Keqiang held talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the national capital.
The Chinese Premier's visit comes days after the Chinese incursions in Ladakh. The MEA confirmed that Premier Li and Manmohan Singh discussed border issues. "The border issue was discussed in this meet. The boundary issue is a complicated one. The leaders recognised the complexity of the issue and left it for the special representatives to take it up," the MEA said.
The MEA also added that Premier Li's visit was a productive one with eight agreements were signed between the two countries. MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said the Commerce Minsters of the two countries are also expected to meet soon.
