New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's decision to shift the millennium bus depot from the banks of Yamuna has led to yet another fight between the AAP government and the Centre.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has expressed its inability to provide alternate land before the Delhi High Court on Wednesday. The DDA controlled by the Central Government told the court that no proposal from the Ministry of Urban Development has come for land allotment.
The DDA also made it clear that after the Delhi government vacates the depot land it will take it back. The Delhi High Court has asked the DDA to present before it status of land availability in Delhi for alternate depot by Thursday.
Meanwhile the Delhi government told the HC that it will vacate the depot by October 31, 2014. The millennium depot was built during the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi.
