THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Director of Urban Affairs cancelled the mass transfer of the municipal employees following a protest by the employees under the aegis of Kerala Municipal and Corporation Staff Union (KMCSU).The KMCSU, in a statement, said that the mass transfer was stalled following a strong protest by the employees and the memorandum submitted to the director of Urban Affairs P M Muhammad Ali. It said that the director had assured that the anomalies in the transfers of U D clerks would be rectified before June 28. Also, the director agreed to freeze transfers in other categories till another order is issued, the statement added. A strong protest was staged by the employees in the office of the director of Urban Affairs here on Wednesday against the allegedly unjustifiable mass transfers.
