The director of the movie 'Brindavanam', Vamsi Paidipalli, lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime police on October 3 stating that unidentified persons had created a fake account on his name on Facebook and Twitter. They had also uploaded his morphed photographs.
The young director alleged in his complaint that someone had sent abusive messages to women from those accounts.
Vamsi noticed the issue when his friends informed him of the messages. Based on his complaint, Cyber Crime police registered a case under the IT Act and started investigation. The police found that there were four accounts created on his name. One account has been traced to Nellore, while the IP addresses of the other accounts are being tracked.
Vamsi has been an assistant director for many films such as 'Eeshwar', 'Varsham', 'Mass' and 'Bhadra'.
