BANGALORE: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president K S Eshwarappa on Wednesday said that, the much-awaited expansion of Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda’s Cabinet will be held soon followed by appointments to various state-run boards and corporations.While addressing reporters here, Eshwarappa said that the party leadership has taken an informal decision to fill all the seven vacancies in the Cabinet besides completing the long-pending job of appointing chairmen and members to various boards and corporations. “We will hold another round of meetings and decided on the date of Cabinet expansion,” he said.Sources in the party maintained that the Cabinet expansion was likely to happen before October 10.On the recent turmoil within the party, Eshwarappa said that, all that was in the past and all leaders have decided to work together in the future.In this direction, the party has announced a slew of programmes involving all warring factions. First in the series will be the divisional level workers meetings from October 8 to 10 in North Karnataka districts which would be followed by a convention of heads of Shakti Kendras (BJP considers each ZP constituency as a Shakti Kendra) on November 13 at Bangalore.On November 17 there will be a convention of presidents and vice-presidents of BJP ruled zilla panchayats.
