Dubai: Farhan Akhtar-starrer 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' was screened in Saudi Arabia as part of the ongoing seventh Asian Film Festival 2014. The Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed movie was part of the 12 films selected by the Asian Consulates General Club (ACGC) to present the cultural diversity of Asian countries. Film enthusiasts, diplomats of various countries, and prominent Indian community members attended the screening, a Saudi Gazette report said.

The 189-minute film starring Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor in the lead is based on the life story of famous athlete Milkha Singh, hailed as the flying Sikh.

"It illustrates that true victory lies in racing with one's troubles and not in running away from them," Consul General of India Faiz Ahmed Kidwai said on the occasion. The Asian Film Festival started on March 10 and Indonesian film night will conclude the festival on March 31.
