There are as many as 250 pilgrims among the first batch visiting the shrine.
New Delhi: The first batch of 40 Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims have returned safely after visting the shrine.
Earlier in this week, the Mansarovar yatra was put on hold after heavy rains left 1,450 pilgrims stranded. The pilgrims had taken an alternative route of Nathula Pass from Sikkim.
There are as many as 250 pilgrims among the first batch visiting the shrine.
The Kailash-Mansarovar yatra in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) is considered as one of the most ardurous journeys because of high altitude, low level of oxygen and difficult terrain.
