Four pilgrims injured on Jamui-Kharagpur road

Four pilgrims were injured when they fell off the roof of a bus after being hit by an overhead obstruction at the railway crossing on the Jamui-Kharagpur

road in Bihar's Jamui district on Monday.

The pilgrims were hit by the overhead structure of a railway gate as the bus was passing beneath injuring them, police sources said.

One of the injured, Jitendra Pandey, was referred to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in the state capital in view of his serious injuries, the sources said.

The other injured were Jitendra Pandey, Rameshwar Rai, Chhote Lal Gupta and Kailash Jha who were admitted to a government hospital in Jamui.

The pilgrims were going from Gopalganj district to Sultanganj for pilgrimage.
