Free medical camp held at Malipuram

KOCHI: City-based Gopalji Foundation conducted a free medical camp for the people of Elamkunnapuzha Panchayat at Malipuram on Sunday. The camp for the economically weaker sections of the panchayat, mostly belonging to the fishermen community,  was conducted at the request of the panchayat member P K Babu.The camp had three specialties- gynaecology, paediatrics and general medicine. Dr Ramanand Pai, Dr Govind Shenoy, Dr Sherly and Dr M K Ajith extended their service free of cost.Many donors contributed free medicines.Around 150 people were given consultation, including house visit for the invalids. Medicines were distributed free of cost Foundation is a charitable organisation formed by friends of VB Gopalakrishnan, who died of cancer in February 2010.
