They were killed in a landmine blast in Gyarapatti - right in the middle of a jungle, near the Chhattisgarh border.
"The incident took place near the Chhattisgarh border when the police personnel were travelling in a police van early on Thursday morning.," said District Collector of Ghadcharoli.
According to reports, Naxals have been regrouping in the region in the monsoon. However, police have said that they do not have any specific inputs about any such regrouping.
