Georges action unconstitutional: Satheesan

PARAVOOR: In a scathing attack on P C George,  V D Satheesan MLA said that the action was unconstitutional and anti-democratic.  Satheesan told Express that it was not the Congress policy to weaken the constitutional institutions. “All orders and judgments of judicial officers need not be completely fair. But there are  remedial measures in the Constitution and Criminal Procedure Code to rectify such orders. The aggrieved parties can approach the apex courts with appeal, review and revision petitions. Oommen Chandy himself could have approached the apex court by invoking Section 482 of CrPC. But Chandy did not opt for it,” he said.KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala categorically stated that it was not the policy of the Congress to weaken the judicial system.
