HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has decided to take up development of footpaths on Road No. 10 and 12 of Banjara Hills, Road No 36 of Jubilee Hills, Himayathnagar road and road opposite to Salar Jung Museum, as per Indian Road Congress guidelines.
GHMC commissioner MT Krishna Babu in a meeting on modalities to improve pedestrian facilities, said a separate cell is being created with one SE and three executive engineers to look after improvement of footpaths , which includes ducts for laying cables.ACP (Traffic), CV Anand said the zebra crossing within the central median will be provided to help cross the roads, where there is no opening for a few kilometres. He also said traffic police will keep marshals to help pedestrians cross the road.
