HYDERABAD: Five tola gold ornaments were stolen from the Nalla Pochamma deity in a temple at Road No. 13, Banjara Hills on Wednesday. Banjara Hills police said the temple is maintained by Kantamma who stays in the premises with her family. Kantamma said a man has been visiting the temple from the past one week. “He came today also around 6.30 a.m. while I was cleaning the premises,” she said. After he left the place, Kantamma realized that the ornaments were missing.The police said a CCTV camera was installed in the temple but was not functioning due to technical glitches.Rs 2 lakh cash stolen from carIn another case of robbery, miscreants stole Rs 2 lakh cash in broad daylight from a car at Karkhana on Wednesday. G Vinobha of Vasavi Nagar withdrew cash from a bank in Karkhana around 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday and left his bag with cash inside the car. He went to the bank again to enquire about a cheque, Karkhana police said.He came out of the bank only to see that the front window panes of his car were broken and the cash bag was stolen. A case has been registered.
