The State government will consider providing suitable structure and process to create and develop entrepreneurship in the state, said V Somasundaram, Additional Chief Secretary. He was addressing the Workshop on ‘Entrepreneur-friendly Emerging Kerala’ attended by leading industrialists, entrepreneurs, senior officials from infrastructure and development agencies of the State Government, financial institutions and prominent banks from the state, organised in the context of the upcoming ‘Emerging Kerala’.
K M Chandrashekar, Deputy Chairman Of Kerala State Planning Board, who also addressed the meet felt that there was a great deal of optimism in the state as compared to the nineties. He called for ‘industry to develop industry’ with the backup of the Government.
The workshop discussed current entrepreneurial infrastructure in Kerala, access to funding, education and training besides sector specific issues of the state. The story of how Kerala Tourism was effectively promoted through KTM in the last decade was particularly noted.

A brochure of TiEcon Kerala 2012, a conference of entrepreneurs scheduled to be held in Kochi on October 25 and 26 was released by K M Chandrashekar on the occasion.
