Heavy rain likely in next two days

HYDERABAD: Heavy rain lashed many places in Telangana while light to moderate showers occurred at a few places in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema on Wednesday.The meteorological department, however, has forecast that moderate to heavy rains are likely to occur across the state in the next 48-hours due to the low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal.S Venkateswara Rao, assistant meteorologist, told Express that a low pressure was formed over north west Bay of Bengal.Besides, the south west monsoon has been vigorous all over the state. “Under its influence, heavy to moderate rains are likely to occur in many places across the state in the next 48-hours including the twin cities,' he added.Rain created havoc in Nalgonda, Adilabad, Khammam, and at several places in north coastal Andhra.
