New Delhi: The low-lying areas and suburbs of Mumbai are waterlogged with heavy rainfall.

Though the transport system is largely unaffected, some parts of the city are facing power cuts because of the rains.

Heavy traffic jams in areas such as Dahisar, Malad, Charkop, Goregaon, Andheri, and the western express highway have been reported.

Train services along the Western Railway and the Central Railway are running 10-15 minutes late.

The meteorological department said its Colaba station in south Mumbai had recorded 249.7 mm of rainfall while its Santacruz station in north-west Mumbai recorded 154.5 mm of rainfall over the last 24-hours.

However, operations at the city's international airport were largely unaffected due to the rain, a spokesperson said.
