PUDUCHERRY: A high level delegation led by labour and tourism minister P Rajavelu, power minister T Thiagrajan and labour commissioner G Malar Kannan left for Yanam on the direction of Chief minister N Rangasamy to inquire into the labour unrest at Regency Ceramics Limited (RCL) factory in Yanam that claimed the lives of president (operations) K C Chandrasekhar and trade union leader Murali Mohan on January 27.The team would be presenting a report based on which the next course of action would decided, said Rangasamy. A section of trade unions and political parties had been pressing for a judicial inquiry into the violence.Meanwhile,the police arrested four persons--Gopi, Lakshman Rao, Venkatesh Subbiah and R Satyanarayana--in connection with the attack on Yanam police station and assault on a sub-inspector, said Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order), V J Chandran. However, the prime accused in the lynching of Chandrasekhar, attack on police station, damage to factory and violence in general were still at large, said Chandran.
