Washington: Pop singer Whitney Houston's best pal has urged fans not to believe everything they see in photos of their favourite idol singer, for she often goes out camouflaged as a 'bag lady'.
Cherelle insists Houston is so desperate to avoid fans when she goes shopping for household items, that she often dresses down, reports Contactmusic.
However, she further reveals that despite all her efforts to remain unnoticed, Whitney's look never fools the paparazzi who never miss a single chance to capture her in the disguised appearance in their cameras.
And the unfortunate pictures have been used to illustrate how far the superstar has fallen amid recent US tabloid claims that the How Will I Know singer's drug dependency has hit rock bottom.
"That's her look. It is a disguise. She always goes like a bag lady," says the singer.
She was with Houston when one of the scandalous shots was taken, "I said, 'This is the picture from when she got up that morning to take out the trash with the kids'," said Cherelle.
