CHENNAI: The Indian Air Force has called for applications from unmarried male candidates born between Oct 1, 1991 and Nov 30, 1995 who wish to become Air Warriors in the technical trades. The minimum eligibility for application is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent level of education with Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and a minimum overall aggregate of 50 per cent. Candidates who have passed a three-year engineering diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science, instrumentation technology or information technology from a government recognised polytechnic institute with a minimum 50 per cent over all aggregate are also eligible to apply.The Air Force has made it clear that applications have to be sent only by regular post to Central Airmen Selection Board, PO Box No 11807, New Delhi – 110010. The last date for receipt of applications is May 23. Applications sent by registered post, speed post or courier will not be accepted.Career details, syllabi, model question papers and selection and enrolment lists have been made available on the internet at http://www.indianairforce.nic.in.The Air Force has made it abundantly clear that recruitment will be done solely on the basis of merit and at no stage do candidates have to pay money to anyone. It has warned candidates against falling prey to persons posing as recruiting agents.
