Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar reportedly tied the knot at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, England, on Saturday.

New Delhi: British model and actress Elizabeth Hurley and her millionaire boyfriend Arun Nayar reportedly tied the knot at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, England, on Saturday.

Gloucestershire County Council confirmed media reports that the couple married on Friday in a private civil ceremony at Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, 125 miles (200 kilometers) west of London.

Forty-one-year-old Hurley and 42-year-old Nayar wed in a civil service at the Castle on Friday with two witnesses, the Daily Mirror claimed.

The tabloid quoted an unnamed insider as saying, "They wanted their wedding alone".

After years of keeping the rumour mills abuzz about the marriage, the 41-year-old model finally decided to tie the knot. However, a British daily says the couple went to extraordinary lengths to conceal their wedding and hence got married a day early.

Security guards on Saturday patrolled the grounds of the 15th-century castle, set amid the Cotswold hills of western England.

Several shopfronts in the picturesque town were adorned with signs and notices wishing the couple good luck.

Hurley and Nayar reportedly have signed a lucrative deal with Hello! magazine for exclusive rights to images of the event.

Singer Elton John, designer Donatella Versace, England soccer star David Beckham and a host of celebrities were among the invitees to the

Castle, which belongs to the family of Hurley's close friend, Henry Dent-Brocklehurst. Dent-Brocklehurst is godfather to her four-year-old son, Damian.

Elizabeth, popularly called Liz, and Nayar, a textile heir and computer-company owner, have dated since 2004.

Nayar was previously married to Italian model Valentina Pedroni while Liz and British actor Hugh Grant were a pair for 13 years from 1987 to 2000.

Hurley and Nayar are to travel to Mumbai after Saturday’s bash where they will have an elaborate exotic Indian-style wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur where women guests have been asked to wear traditional Indian saris and men sport orange turbans.
