It is often said that artists can bring life to portraits and many artists in India are experts in painting super-realistic portraits. These artists don’t just paint pictures on canvas but bring their imaginations to life. Today, we are talking about one such skilful artist who can give life to his portrait drawings. This person is famous for realistic portrait painting which allowed him to draw the portrait of some eminent personalities across the globe. The artist’s name is Kaushik Hedge. The resident of Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka spoke about his recent work and past works in an interview with Local18.
One of Kaushik’s recent works earned him huge fame. The resident of Sirsi was commissioned by the Prime Minister’s office for a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to a report, he completed the portrait of India’s PM in just four hours. The artist reportedly just used colour pencils to draw the portrait which earned him huge praise from the Prime Miniter himself.
Kaushik is also an art director and storyboard artist in the Kannada film Industry. He has been practising art for around 13 years now. He has also worked with popular Kannada actor Yash. The artist is presently pursuing art from the Vijaya Kala Mandir, Gadag. He mentioned that he would love to be part of more popular artworks while he finishes his studies in the field of art. Talking to Local18, Kaushik stated that he has participated in numerous art exhibitions in several countries and won numerous awards.
The famous artist earlier painted a realistic portrait of actor Srinagar Kitty which earned him a huge name in the film industry. He has also received many awards and is a record holder of the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records.
