Independence Day observance

KOCHI: The 64th Independence Day is being observed with much fanfare across the city. The High Court of Kerala will witness a number of programmes at 8.45 am.Flag hoisting, singing of patriotic songs by various organisations under the High Court, band display and presentations are some of the key attractions.A flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at Cusat at 8.30 am. Cusat Pro-VC Godfrey Louis will hoist the flag.The Kerala High Court Advocates Association and the Bharathiya Abhibhashaka Parishad will organise an ‘Abhibhashaka Kootayamma’ raising the slogan ‘Advocates against corruption.’ The advocates will take oath before the lamp to fight corruption and provide support to the organisations working against corruption.
