India thrash Bangladesh to seal semi-final spot
India have all but topped Group B winning their first four pool games.

New Delhi: India are through to the semi-finals of the Asia Cup hockey tournament with a thumping 6-0 win over Bangladesh on Tuesday.

India have all but topped Group B after winning their first four pool matches.

Fresh of a win against fancied South Korea on Monday, India were lacklustre in the first half, with drag flick expert Raghunath the only player to find the net, but off a field goal.

The shackles were broken in the second with a flurry of goals.

Prabhjot Singh scored twice and Raghunath too added to his tally. Shivendra Singh and Tushar Khandekar also got themselves on the scoresheet.

India next play Thailand on Thursday in their final group match and on current form should get plenty of goals past the minnows.
