They are the true heroes of war against terror, says Industry chamber.
New Delhi: The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) said Saturday it will give Rs 1 cr to the families of the security personnel who died fighting terrorists in Mumbai.
“The true heroes of the war against the terror attacks in Mumbai - Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Havildar Chander of the NSG (National Security Guard) Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte, Vijay Salaskar along with 13 other of the Maharashtra Police - deserve our heartfelt reverence, gratitude and admiration," Ficci president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said in a statement.
“All of India will never forget these martyrs and their selfless sacrifice for our country. We pledge to unitedly fight against terror and do our humble bit,” Chandrasekhar added.
