Insurance employees flay Amendment Bill

PUDUCHERRY: South Zone General Insurance Employees Association general secretary, G Anand, on Thursday, said the economy of the country would be badly affected if the Insurance Laws Amendment Bill 2008 was implemented.He said the insurance sector of the country had shown tremendous growth after the nationalisation of the sector. The move to sell the shares of the four insurance companies would adversely affect the economy.Anand said the All India Insurance Employees Association (AIIEA) would take part in the trade union general strike on February 28.
