Is my son behaving? Bush Sr asks PM

Tokyo: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had a chance meeting with former US president George H W Bush on Friday night.

Bush Sr., father of the US President, was with his wife, Barbara, when he met the Prime Minister at the Four Seasons Hotel.

"I hope my son is behaving. If he is not, you should tell Barbara," Bush senior told Singh. When the former President was told that Singh was at the hotel, he decided to meet him.

Singh was attending a banquet hosted by his Japanese counterpart Shizo Abe, so senior Bush waited in the lobby of the hotel.

After some time when Singh came out of the function, the two leaders had a brief interaction. Singh is on a four-day visit here since Wednesday and is staying at the same hotel.
