BELLARY: After a war of words, candidates complaining against each other is making news in the Bellary bypoll. While candidates for Bellary Rural constituency are busy exchanging words,  people in their camps are not keeping quiet either. They are busy complaining against their rival candidates, thus keeping the election heat at a high level. The ruling BJP, which is facing tough times in Bellary after the Reddy clan rebelled against the party, had complained against B Sriramulu, for allegedly issuing contradictory statements in the media and for distributing t-shirts printed with his photograph, which is against election norms in the country. Now, former minister B Sriramulu’s camp has hit back against the ruling party saying that its leaders are using temple platforms for their campaigns.P V Subbareddy, an advocate in Sriramulu’s camp has written to the Chief Election Comissioner (CEC), saying that BJP state president K S Eshwarappa and leaders Gadilingappa, Indushekhar, MLC Shashil Namoshi and others on November 19 this year, campaigned at Anjaneya temple, in Sangankallu village, which is against the election code of conduct. He also said that state government machinery is being misused in favour of the BJP candidate.
