HYDERABAD: The stage is set for another round of political jockeying between YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu.A writ petition is likely to be filed in the AP High Court Monday by a close associate of the Jagan camp against alleged acquisition of disproportionate assets by former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.Confirming that the plea is ready for filing in the court, YSRC sources disclosed to Express that it is quite similar to the petition filed against Jagan by minister P Shankar Rao and some TDP leaders which led to a CBI probe into the source of the young MP’s investments.Though sources refused to confirm the name of the petitioner, it is likely that it might be either a close aide of Jagan or his mother Vijayamma.Sources said the petition is likely to rake up a political storm in the state what with both Jagan and Naidu keen on inflicting maximum damage on the other’s career. The petition, sources said, is ‘exhaustive’ and goes on to mention in minute detail the various business transactions of Naidu. It also lists various decisions taken by Naidu during his nine years as chief minister. ‘’A team of well-known chartered accountants prepared the draft which was vetted by top legal brains in Hyderabad and Delhi,’’ sources said.Sources said the YSR Congress camp carried out an ‘’in-depth investigation’’ of their own over the last two months and gathered ‘’valuable inputs’’ on transactions involving Naidu, both in India and abroad.
