Kakatiya students threaten to jump from building

WARANGAL: Leaders of Kakatiya University student JAC threatened to commit suicide by jumping from the district Congress party office here on Saturday if the ministers and party MLAs did not resign from their posts for the cause of Telangana.However, police managed to reach the top of the three-storeyed building where about 17 JAC leaders including Vali Ulla Khadri, Rajesh and Satish were present and brought them down.Later, they were arrested.Earlier, the JAC leaders replaced the Congress party flag on the building with Telangana flag.All this happened even in the presence of heavy police bandobust arranged at the district congress committee office.Speaking on the occasion, university JAC convener Rajesh blamed the Congress for the delay in formation of separate Telangana state.He warned that Congress leaders would not be allowed to enter villages unless they submitted their resignations.
