Kannadi Shaji murder: Fourth accused held

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a major success to the investigating team probing the murder of gangster Kannadi Shaji, a person who had sheltered the accused, who were on run since the crime, had been arrested by the police. Binu S Nair alias ‘Kurukkan’ was arrested from his college in Bangalore, where he was pursuing an LLB course, on Friday.According to an investigating officer, Binu had sheltered the accused in the case who had left the state after the investigating team led by DCP tightened the noose around them. Some of the accused even carried out financial transactions through Binu’s bank account. Binu was earlier involved in a case of attempt to murder, which was registered in Mangalapuram police station.
