KKNPP: Token fast in city on December 10

CHENNAI: Expressing solidarity with the protestors in Idinthakarai village in Tirunelveli district, who are opposing the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), nearly 50 associations and political parties have come together to organise a one-day fast in Chennai on Saturday.Political leaders including MDMK’s Vaiko, VCK’s Thol Thirumavalavan, P Nedumaran, Naam Thamilar Iyakkam’s Seeman and Kolathur Mani and leaders of traders’ organisations like Vellaiyan would take part in the fast, said Mano Thangaraj, convenor of the political wing of the People’s Movement against Nuclear Energy (PMANE). Thangaraj had met representatives of various organisations, including Tamizhaga Eluchi Ilaignar Pasarai, and Poovulagin Nanbargal.
