Kolkata: Fire breaks out in New Market area, no casualties reported

Kolkata: A fire was reported in the busy New Market area of Kolkata on Monday. Fire brigade officials said there was no report of any casualty in the blaze though it caused panic in the busy area.

15 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. One part of the market has been gutted in the fire.

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately, the officials said.

A shopping mall in the area had been damaged in yet another fire in April.
