Kolkata: In order to help couples have ‘extraordinary’ babies through ancient Hindu practices, RSS-affiliated Arogya Bharati is organising a two-day ‘garbh sanskar’ workshop in Kolkata for “purification and rejuvenation of the womb”.
Arogya Bharati, the health and family welfare affiliate of the Sangh, will teach couples ways to “strengthen the reproductive procedure to give birth to an extraordinary child” on May 6 and 7.
The workshop will also look into various aspects of family planning. The ‘garbh sanskar’ has become popular in Gujarat over the last decade, but seems to be a new thing in the eastern parts of the country.
RSS pracharak and organizer of the event Buddhadeb Mondal said, “The aim is to revive our old culture of a happy and healthy married life. “A couple will have to go for a 162-day cleansing process — 90 days for the wife and 72 days for her husband. They will be told what food to consume and what to do during the day. The couple can only conceive after the cleansing.”
Speaking to News18 from Gujarat, Narvani said, “Garbha sanskar is all about keeping yourself in a good state emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually for the sake of your unborn baby. It also about communicating with your unborn child in the womb.”
Garbh Samskar is related to science. The sanskar is all about strengthening the reproductive procedure to give birth to an extraordinary child,” she added.
Narvani elaborated that this practice existed in Vedas and Puranas.
“Unfortunately people don’t follow this now. I will be citing successful examples of the couples who have used this way to create a healthy child,” the doctor said.
