KV Thomas lauds Syro-Malabar churchs activities

KOCHI: Union Minister K V Thomas commended  the service of Syro-Malabar Church for the various social services activities initiated by the Church for the development of society. He was speaking at a function organised by the All-Kerala Catholic Congress to felicitate Syro-Malabar Major Archbishop, George Alancherry in Kochi on Sunday. Thomas promised that the government would extend its full support to the Syro-Malabar Church for various social programmes undertaken by it for the uplift of society. The minister also commended the functioning of All-Kerala Catholic Congress.   Alencherry said that all social organisations are committed to standing against evils that is affecting society now.  He said that society can be made free from social evils by the committed service of various organisations.
