Lenovo unveils four new Windows 8 convertible devices
These include the IdeaPad Yoga 13, Yoga 11, IdeaTab Lynx, ThinkPad Twist.

New Delhi: Lenovo announced a new family of four convertible devices, which are designed for Windows 8/RT OS - the IdeaPad Yoga 13, Yoga 11, IdeaTab Lynx, ThinkPad Twist.

The IdeaPad Yoga's hinge lets users move 360 degrees and fold from laptop to tablet. It is powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processors, and runs Windows 8 OS. It is claimed to offer up to 8 hours of battery life.

The Yoga 11 is the Yoga 13's smaller screen size counterpart. It is claimed to be the world's slimmest multi-mode PC, measuring 15.6 mm. The Yoga 11 has a 11.6-inch screen, and is said to offer up to 13 hours of battery life. It is equipped with NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, and runs Windows RT. Both Yoga 13 and 11 can be used in completely new ways. the can be converted into a Stand by flipping the keyboard behind the screen. Users can also bend them upright like a Tent to bring games or video chats to life.

The IdeaTab Lynx is a Windows 8-based tablet, which is armed with a dual-core Intel Atom processor. It has a 11.6-inch display. Lenovo's ThinkPad Twist is said to be designed for professionals. It is called a business-ready device. Users can use the ThinkPad Twist as an Ultrabook, and then can twist the top to switch to a convertible tablet. Running Windows 8, it offers storage up to 500 GB or 128 GB SSD.

Customers in the US can reserve the IdeaPad Yoga 13 at Best Buy starting October 12. It will be available at Best Buy and www.lenovo.com on Oct 26. The prices start at $1,099. The IdeaPad Yoga 11 will be available starting in December. It will be available for $799 onwards. The IdeaTab Lynx and options keyboard will be available in December. The prices start at $599 for the tablet and the optional keyboard will cost $149. The ThinkPad Twist will be available starting on October 26; the prices start at $849.

The previously announced ThinkPad Tablet 2, which also runs Windows 8, will also debut this month alongside the new convertibles. The prices of the ThinkPad tablet start at $649.

The company has not yet announced as when these devices will hit the Indian shores.
