LG Optimus 4X HD to hit Indian markets by mid-July
The price of Optimus 4X HD has not yet been revealed in India but is expected to be priced around Rs 34,000.

New Delhi: LG'S first quad core smartphone, Optimus 4X HD, which was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in February this year, will be launched in India by the second week of July.

Sources familiar with the development said to The Mobile Indian, "LG Optimus 4X HD is already available in select European countries and will be launched in India by mid July."

LG Optimus 4X HD is an Android 4.0 device and has an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1 GB RAM, a massive 4.7 inch True HD IPS display and an 8 megapixel camera. It also boasts a powerful 2,150 mAh battery and LG's new user interface, Optimus UI 3.0.

With a 4.7 inch screen, it's certainly going to impress users who love large screens. The screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel and 16:9 ratio, which allows for viewing more information at a glance.

Optimus 4X HD will be the first quad core phone from LG and will compete directly with the likes of HTC One X and Huawei Ascend D Quad( it is yet to be launched), which are also powered by quad core processors.

Optimus 4X has internal storage of 16 GB, which can be extended to 32 GB using an SD card. It also houses a 1.3 megapixel front camera.

On the connectivity front it supports 3G, Wifi, DLNA and Bluetooth. The Optimus 4X HD boasts LG's new user experience (UX), Optimus UI 3.0, which includes QuickMemoTM. QuickMemoTM allows users to instantly jot memos or notes from any screen, without having to open a separate application.

The Optimus 4X HD also comes with Media PlexTM, which combines a range of functions such as Fingertip Seek and Live Zooming to enhance image and video playback. Media PlexTM also includes Time Catch Shot, which allows the user to select and save the best shot among the images taken just before the shutter button is depressed.
