THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Carrying forward its campaign to empower school libraries, Terumo Penpol has set up a library at Thurthummoola LP Government School. The company has donated books worth Rs 10,000 and a bookshelf to the school.And the Loyola School has been in the forefront in extending support to the Penpol initiative. The students of Loyola donated around 600 books to Thurthummoola School. “We had intimated the Principal of Loyola School that the students who would like to support the school libraries could donate books available with them to the school or could purchase new Malayalam story books or any useful books and donate them,” said a statement issued by Penpol. It is to be noted that Penpol had taken steps to set up library at Vilappil UP School and the students of Loyola had then donated over 850 books towards the venture. “We are working with our associates to ensure that the libraries of the schools in Vilappilsala panchayat get maximum books. The campaign will go forward,” said the statement.
