Mumbai: Seven of the nine accused in the Malegaon blast case are likely to be released on Tuesday after being in judicial custody for five years.
The MCOCA court has agreed to grant bail to the accused. However, the final report in the case by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is yet to be filed.
The accused were arrested for orchestrating blasts in 2006 which claimed 31 lives.
All of them were booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
This came after the NIA informed a special Mumbai MCOCA court hearing the 2006 Malegaon bomb blast case that it would not oppose the bail plea of the nine accused facing the charges.
