MAMI has all woman jury this year
The 12th MAMI (Mumbai Film Festival) will have an all woman jury , including eminent names like Jane Campion, Suhasini Manirathnam etc

The MAMI festival, which is a Reliance Big Picture initiative, will start from 21st October and continue till 28th of October, 2010.

The annual movie festival has been a platform for showcasing critically acclaimed films. Academy award winner, Hollywood based film maker, screen writer and producer Jane Campion will preside over the jury. Campion has won the Golden Palm award at the 1986 Cannes festival. Her films include In the cut (2003) and Bright Star (2009). She won the Oscar for best screenplay for The Piano.

The panelists are Tanya Seghatchian, Samira Makhmalbaf, Yoon Jeong-Hee and Suhasini Maniratnam. Seghatchian is the head of the film fund at the UK Film Council. She is a pivotal player in the series for Warner Bros. She has won the BAFTA award for producing My Summer of Love. Makhamalbaf directed a movie at the age of 17. Her second film Black Board was awarded the jury prize in Cannes in 2000. South Korian actress Jeong-Hee was riding the crest of fame when she decided to take a 15 year break. She has acted in more than 250 films and won over 20 awards for her work. National award winning actress Suhasini Maniratnam also directs and produces films. She runs a production company Madras Talkies, along with film maker husband Manirathnam.
